The Rockin’ L & D Ranch hosted an all discipline instructor Certification Clinic Tuesday March 2 through Saturday March 6^th, 2004.  Our Clinic Director and Head Instructor, Certified Horsemanship Association Development Director was Christy Landweh with Assistant Clinic Director, Cindy Roche.

A wonderful learning experience with a great group of gals from different backgrounds of teaching.  Congratulations to CHA's newest graduates. Rockin' L & D Ranch will be hosting another All discipline and lower level trail Clinic in March 2005. Check our website later in the summer for details.

The Rockin L & D Ranch 

hosts the Miramar Marine Youth Day 

Lori gives safety instructions before riders don boots and helmets.

Lori's assistant, Jessica, answers horse questions, while Lori carries the mounting block to help the next batch of riders mount up.

First time riders were excited but a bit scared. Lori's positive coaching relaxed the greenhorns and smiles abound.

Special thanks to Rockin' L & D Ranch staff and volunteers who helped make the day a success: Jessica, Sarah, Christine, Missy, Rosie, Rita, Hilary, Dave, Nathan, Drew, Tanner, Marvin and Rose.

   

Lori's adult student, Rita volunteered to be lead-line wrangler as did Christine, who's Lori's known since she was born.

Other activities included horse shoe painting, equine college, relay trail course race, steer roping and a scavenger hunt.

MCCS Staff learned to lasso too.        Teams worked together to find scavenger items.
